1891 census...He was in Gibraltar with the Royal Artillery. Lucy Todd was a servant at 4 Albert Road, West Derby

1901 census...He was in South Africa in the Royal Artillery

He married Lucknow born Lucy Todd in 1902 in Bury St.Edmunds

1911 census...Aged 40, a labourer, he was at 140 York Road, Bury St.Edmunds with his wife Lucy [43] born Lucknow, India and their son Robert George [7-6-1905]

His wife died in Bury St.Edmunds in 1913. The pension card has Mr.G.H.PALMER as guardian of Robert George.


He re-enlisted in Bury St.Edmunds on 9th September 1914. The pension card gives cause of death as asphyxiation due to submersion,(i.e drowned)
He joined the Royal Artillery (70384) in Great Yarmouth on 15gh January 1889, born in Punjab, India aged 118 year 6 months, a baker, having been a member of the Thetford Rifle Volunteers. He was 5 feet 7.75 inches tall, weighed 137 lbs, brown eyes, brown hair, Church of England.
