Born in Depden in 1888 (4th qtr Thingoe 4a:674) son of Arthur and Louisa PASK (née WELLS)

1891 census...Aged 2, he was at Salisbury's Farm, Stansfield with his father Arthur PASK [29] farm labourer born Debden; his mother Louisa [29] born Fornham All Saints.

1901 census...Aged 12, he was at 4 Horringer Road, Bury St.Edmunds with his parents (father a miller's carter) and brother Philip Henry [7] born Stansfield.
His father died in 1903.

1911 census...Aged 22, a County Council clerk, he was at 26 Horringer Road, Bury St.Edmunds with his widowed mother and brother Philip Henry (house decorator).

His mother died 2nd qtr 1916. He married Ethel Louise MILLER [23-6-1890] in 4th qtr of 1916. She lived at 16 Lower Baxter Street, Bury St.Edmunds.

His brother Philip Henry died of wounds in 1915 see here


He enlisted in Bury St.Edmunds. He spent some time in the 6th Suffolk Cyclists before being transferred to the Bedfordshire Regiment.

War Diary
26 Oct 1917 - [The Third Battle of Ypres - The Second Battle of Passchendaele ] Front Line between Reutelbeek and Scherriabeek 13th Bde attacked POLDERHOEK CHATEAU and lines between REUTELBEEK and SCHERRIABEEK. Zero 5.40 a.m. 10 a.m. message received saying all objectives taken.
12 noon message received saying 14 and 15 Warwicks had withdrawn to their jumping off positions and evacuated CHATEAU. In consequence the 2/K.O.S.Bs were ordered to re-inforce all three attacking Battns of 13th Bde.
1.30 pm Orders received from 15th Bde for 1/Bedf R. to support the 2/K.O.S.Bs. Coy Cmdrs called together and Battn moved to TOWER & dug in 700 yds EAST of this point by 4.30 p.m.
5.30 p.m. Battn ordered to take over Front line between REUTELBEEK and SCHERRIABEEK and relieve all troops of 13th Bde in this line - relief complete by 1.15 a.m. 27th
