Edward Charles STUTLEY was born in 1868 (4th qtr 1868 Bury St.Edmunds 4a:491) son of and STUTLEY (née TIFFEN)

1871 census...Aged 2, he was at 5 Finsbury Place, Bury St.Edmunds with his father William STUTLEY [54] farm labourer born Bradfield; his mother Jemima [38]born Whepstead.

1881 census...Aged 13, he was at the Thingoe Union Workhouse, Hospital Road, Bury St.Edmunds with his father. His mother had died in 1877

1891 census...not found in this census, quite possibly in the Army. His father was still in the workhouse


He died from pneumonia in Kroonstaad

His Queen's South Africa medal has clasps for Cape Colony and Orange Free State
