1901 census...Aged 8, Frank was at 21 Church Walk, Bury St.Edmunds with his father Harry TURNER [45] farm labourer born Dalham; his mother Susan [42] born Rougham; brothers Albert [21] farm labourer born Rougham and Edward [2] born Welnetham; sisters Beatrice [19] born Dalham, Daisy [12] born Chesterford, Edith [10] born Chesterford and May [4] born Bury St.Edmunds 1911 census...Aged 16. At 42 College Street, Bury St.Edmunds were his parents; brother Charles [27] bricklayer's labourer, born Gt Chesterford, Oliver (Edward), Arthur [9] born Bury St.Edmunds and George [7] born Putney. |

War Diary 22nd Nov 1914 Richebourg..Germans again shell trenches. Capt Campbell, L/Cpl Walters and Pte Penn go out to reconnoitre a house in the enemy's position which has been giving a lot of trouble, it is full of marksmen who are continually worrying the trenches, ration parties etc. Capt Campbell was killed close by Lt Dilworth, L/Cpl Walters was killed near him. Pte Penn managed to crawl back after first of all ascertaining that Capt Campbell and L/Cpl Walters were dead. Lt Sherbooke with three sections rushed out to see if there was anything they could do, but :Lt Sherbrooke was immediately wounded and the attempt failed. About 6 pm the Worcesters started to relieve the battalion in the trenches, this was successfully completed by 10 pm, after which the Battn marched back to the old billets in the Red Barn Casualties 1 officer killed 1 wounds, 5 OR killed, 1 wounded Despite the above, no soldier of any rank by the name of Campell was killed that say, just L/CplWalters and 4 others. Richebourg-Saint-Vaast and Richebourg-l'Avoué are just one town of Richebourg since 1917
