1901 census...Aged 1, he was at The Heath, Sapiston with his father Elijah FROST [48] farm labourer/stockman born Bardwell; his mother Susannah [39] born Whepstead; sisters Mary [12] born Hengrave, Maud [8] born Whepstead, Daisy [5] born Bardwell, Florence [4], Emma [3] and Kate [4 months] both born in Sapiston; brother Arthur [9] born Hengrave. 1911 census...Aged 11, he was at Sapiston with his widowed mother; widowed grandmother Rebecca FENTON [73] born Whepstead; brothers Arthur and Edward [5] bornSapiston; sisters Emma, Kate and Jessie [7] born Sapiston. His father had died in 1907. He married Daisy L.BERRY (b.22-11-1900) in Q2-1918 which could make him the brother in law of Alfred Berry. The pension card has his widow at Park Gates, Fakenham Magna with their daughter Lilian Kate (b. 10-9-1918), so it is very likely he never saw his daughter. see here |
As he died after the Armistice, he is not found on "Soldiers Died" and dying of wounds or illness and no Army service record found, it is impossible to say
where or when exactly he was wounded, or his illness. Tincourt was a centre for Casualty Clearing Stations
