Walter Harvey was born in Great Livermere in 1884 (Thingoe Q1-1884 4A:661), baptised in St Peter's, Gt.Livermere on 20th April 1884, son of Charles and Mary Ann HARVEY (née LEVETT)

1891 census...Aged 7, he was at No 21, Great Livermere with his father Charles HARVEY [47], farm labourer born Icklingham; his mother Mary [45] born Icklingham; brothers Arthur [15] bricklayer's labourer and Charles W [13] farm labourer; sisters Edith [10] and Alice [9]. All the children were born in Great Livermere.

1901 census...Aged 17, a farm labourer, he was at 3 The Green, Fornham All Saints with his parents, brother Charles W.(farm labourer) and sister Alice M.

He married Ellen TAYLOR in 1909 (Bury St Edmunds Q1-1909 4A:1007)

1911 census...Aged 27, married, cowman on farm, he was at Fornham All Saints with his wife Ellen [25] born Bury St.Edmunds and their two sons, Arthur [1] and George [5 months], both born in Fornham All Saints.

He died at King Row, Shipdean (Shipdham), Norfolk according to Soldier's Personal Effects. (Mitford Q1-1919 4B:410) He as not been found in CWGC, and dying in 1919 would not be in "Soldiers Died". No medal card usually indicates no overseas service, although his war gratuity of £6-15 shillings suggests an enlistment in September 1917. Being ex Suffolk Regiment and finally in Labour Corps suggests a medical downgrade as a result of wounds or illness.

Walter Harvey is presumed to be buried in Fordham All Saints, records to be checked
