All except his mother born in Great Barton 1911 census...Aged 17, a farm worker, he was at Highfield Farm, Rougham with his parents, sister Mary Violet and brother Sidney Albert [7] born Great Barton. On the pension card his mother was at East Barton |
He enlisted in Great Barton.
The battalion was temporarily attached to 18th Infantry Brigade at Maroc, employed in tactical digging. 2 men were killed by shell fire on 23rd; Charles Crack and Joseph Hale from Shimpling
