1901 census...Aged 4, he was in East Barton with his father Henry EVERETT [43] farm worker born Gazeley; his mother Sarah [40] Westerleigh, Glos.; brothers Charlie [13], Willie [11] and Herbert N [2]; sister Alice [7]. All the children were born in Great Barton 1911 census...Aged 14, houseboy, he was in Great Barton with his widower father (now farm steward); brothers Charles [23] wheelwright, William John (farm labourer), Herbert Norman [12] and Preston George [7]; sister Alice May. His mother had died in 1910. On the pension card his father was at 8 Barn Lane, Bury St.Edmunds. |
He enlisted in Bury St.Edmunds
The Battalion were in support, providing working parties. On 4th, Harry's was the sole death.
