Simon Denis St Ledger Fleming was born in 1921, son of Major Harold M and the Hon Mrs E C A FLEMING. His birth registration has not been found, but he was born in County Down, Ireland



Lieutenant Fleming was killed when his parachute failed when dropping with a group behind enemy lines near Montepulciano, SE of Sienna in Italy.
