Arthur Frederick Partridge was born on 10th September 1917 in Wickhambrook (Ashfield Green) (4th qtr 1917 Risbridge 4a:1173) son of Charles Frederick and Alice Sophia PARTRIDGE (née COOPER ). His mother died in 1927

In the 1939 register, a gardener, he was at 3 Thwaites Cottages, Great Saxhma with his widower father Charles PARTRIDGE (farm labourer); brothers Frank (farm labourer) and Victor [buder's labourer).]


He was captured on 17th February 1941 (Japanese 17-2-11 as their year is the year of the Emperor's reign)

Thanbyuzayat was used for the final resting place of all previously buried between Moulmein and Nieke. Arthur was originally buried in Tambaya Cemetery 9.

Arthur Partridge is buried in Thanbyuzayat War Cemetery, Myanmar B6:M:9
