Joseph Nunn was born in Chevington in1892 (4th qtr 1892 Thingoe 4a:688) son of Robert and Emma NUNN(née COPPING)

1901 census...Aged 8, he was at North Hall, Chevington with his father Robert NUNN [62] farm labpourer born Chevington; his mother Emma [45] born Depden; brothers John [18] farm labourer born Depden and William [14] farm labourer born Chedburgh, sisterJanet [4] born Chevington; grandfather George COPPING [87] born Depden

1911 census...Aged 18 a farm labourer, he was at Hargrave with his father and sister Janet.His father recorded as married but Emma has not been found

He married Daisy Orbell [29-3-1893] in 1913. Their son Charles was born 14-4-1915. His widow later married Robert HANSLIP of Broom Road, Lakenheath

On the pension card his widow was at Ouse Bridge Farm, the Bank, Welney



He enlisted in Bury St.Edmunds
He died at No.19 C.C.S. at Frevent. No service record available so we cannot say exactly were or when he was wounded. His battalion was in the Achicourt Monchy area at the time
