Charles Arthur Pawsey was born in Brockley (2nd qtr 1896 Thingoe 4a:787) son of George and PAWSEY(née ARCHER)

1901 census...Aged 4, he was at Glas House Farm with his father George PAWSEY [55] stockman; his mother Susannah [49] born Bagthorpe, Norfolk; brothers Frederick [23] shepherd, Walter [15] farm labourer and Archie [9]. All except his mother born in Brockley.

1911 census...Aged 14, a butcher, he was at Cross green, Hartest with his parents and brothers Walter and Archie (both labourers) and visitor Hilda ARCHER.

On the pension card his mother was at Cross Green, Hartest.



He enlisted in Bury St.Edmunds. He died of his wounds at King George Hospital, Stamford Street, Lambeth.




Charles Pawsey is buried in Hartest (All Saints) Churchyard (East end)
