Harold Walter Sparrow was born in 1922 (Risbridge Q4-1922 4A:1421), May Ethel SPARROW. His mother married Charles William SARGENT in 1930

In 1939 his parents were at Broadlands Cottage, Stone Cottages, Little Wratting, step-father was born 12/8/1900 in Cavendish, he was a tractor driver; mother born 14/4/1895 in Little Wratting. There is one closed record.



The battalion were in the area of Sannerville, just east of Caen, forced by the bad weather to sit it out in dugouts, being shelled. 4 men died on the 25th July, all now buried in Banneville

Harold Sparrow is buried in Banneville-la-Campagne War Cemetery, grave 1:E:14
having been brought in from another burial place on 27th July 1945.
