Ernest Jack BARTLE was born on 14th August 1910 in Timworth (Bury St Edmunds Q3-1910 4A:939) the son of Cecil Charles and Mary Gertrude BARTLE (née PLUMMER)


1911 census...Aged 7 months, he was at The Street, Timworth with his father Cecil Charles BARTLE [31] carpenter's labourer, born Timworth;his mother Mary Gertrude [30] born Hargrave; sister Ruby Violet [3] born Timworth and grandfather William BARTLE [81] born Wordwell

He married Muriel Florence Ada PANNIFER [20-12-1917] (Newmarket Q3-1939 4A:4629) , later of Leiston. In Q2 1947 she married William D PERRYMAN in Brentford

In the 1939 register he (a painter) and Muriel were living at 35 Heath Cottages, Little Livermere. Their son Graeme Robert Charles was born 13th January 1941 in Little Livermere (died 2004)
