All except his mother born in Rougham. 1891 census...Aged 14, a farm labourer, he was still at King's Hall Street with his parents (WALLIKER), mother now recorded as born Wickham Market; sisters Kate L [9] and Rosana [6] both born Rougham. 1901 census...Aged 24, a bricklayer's labourer, he was at 12 King's Hall Street, Rougham with his parents (now WALLAKER) 1911 census...Aged 34, a bricklayer's labourer, he was at 41 King's Hall Street with his mother (WALLAKER) On the pension card his mother was at 41 King's Hall Street, Rougham |

He enlisted in Bury St. Edmunds.
On 30th November they were in Cheshire Quarry Reserve line when the enemy counter-attacked. 13 Officers and 219 OR missing. HQ and "A" Coy were surrounded and captured. The enemy broke through the Division on the right and attacked the battalion from the rear. CWGC records just 33 killed that day, so a great many were captured.
