Adam Paul Drane was born on 24th July 1986 (3rd qtr 1986 Bury St.Edmunds 10:2742) son of Desmond and Jacqueline DRANE (née EVERETT). The family moved to Stanningfield around 1989

He was at King Edward VI school in Bury St.Edmunds until 2002.



Adam was killed as a result of small arms fire at a check point Paraang in the Nad-e Ali area, in central Helmand Province, Afghanistan. He was the 100th British soldier to die in this campaign in 2009.
