Roy GOODWIN was born on 6th September 1919, (Hartismere Q4-1919 4A:1914) son of Alfred Edward and Laura Muriel GOODWIN (née BURNIP), of Upper Weybread, Suffolk
In the 1939 register he was assisting his father on the farm, Oak Farm, Weybread, Suffolk with his brother Norman A GOODWIN [26-6-1913] and mother Laura M [24-9-1884]. His father [21-5-1883], a farmer, was at Markham House, Maori Road, Guildford, which appears to have been some sort of care home. |
