Arthur Claude Pask was born in Rede (3rd qtr 1886 Thingoe 4a:673) son of Charles and Georgiana PASK (née KEMP).

1891 census...Aged 4, Claud Arthur was at Bury Road Cottages, Chedburgh with his father Charles PASK [30] farm labourer born Depden; his mother Georgiana [30] born Chedburgh; brothers Herbert George [6] born Rede, Walter [3] born Rede and Ben Allan [7 months] born Chedburgh.

1901 census...Aged 14, a farm labourer, he was "by The Green", Depden with his parents (father now recorded as born Chedburgh); brothers Herbert, Charles W [13] both farm labourers and Benjamin A (now recorded as born Rede.)

He married Susan MURFITT [30-10-1892] in 1910 (reg Ely).

1911 census...Aged 24, a blacksmith, he was with his wife Susan [20] born Littleport and their son George Alfred [15-5-1910] born Prickwillow, boarding with his wife's family at Prickwillow. His parents were at Kiln Lane, Rede.

Three more sons were born, Walter Claud [28-8-1911], Cecil [10-10-1912] and Albert Ernest [25-3-1915]. All their sons births were registered in Ely so presumably born Prickwillow On the pension card his widow was at Ely Road, Prickwillow. (at Tower House according to CWGC)

His brother Charles died in 1918, serving with the Suffolk Regiment see here


He enlisted in Ely
With no service record found and dying of wounds in a Casualty Clearing Station in Belgium, there is no way of telling exactly when or where he was wounded.
