Born on 20th September 1891 at 50 Raingate Street (4th qtr Bury St.Edmunds 4a:738) son of Henry and Rebecca LOMAX (née HOLMES). Baptised at St Mary's on 16th October 1891

1901 census...Aged 9, he was at 52 Raingate Street, Bury St.Edmunds with his father Henry LOMAX [38] bricklayer; his mother Rebecca [39] born Great Welnetham; brother Charles H [17] ironworker; sisters Daisy M [14] Lilly E [12] and Jessie M [7]. All except his mother were born in Bury St.Edmunds

1911 census...Aged 19, a grocer's assistant, he was at 44 Crown Street, with his parents; brother Charles (engineer); sisters Lilly and Jessie.

His brother in law Arthur Hunt was killed in Belgium in 1917 see here


He enlisted in Bury St.Edmunds. He died at No.32 Stationary Hospital at Wimereux from pneumonia.
