His mother died in 1899

His brother Arthur died with him in France see here

He enlisted in Bury St.Edmunds. Originally buried beside his brother at Chemin des Dames (death 14th) they were moved to Vailly in 1919. There are several dates recorded for his death, but the CWGC concentration card has 14th September for all five men moved from Chemin des Dames, including his brother, so presumably an entire gun crew. Even CWGC records are different. His headstone has 14th inscribed.
