Albert Edwin Crick was born in Cockfield (4th qtr 1893 Cosford 4a:708), son of Ephraim and Susannah CRICK (née CLARK).

1901 census...Aged 7, he was at Middle Yard, Cockfield with his widower father Ephraim CRICK [40] farm labourer; brothers Herbert [9] and William F. [4]. All were born in Cockfield. His mother, born in Gazeley, had died in 1896, aged 30,

His father married Letitia MOTT in 1904.

1911 census...Aged 17, he was at Chapel Road, Cockfield with his father, brothers Herbert and William (all were farm labourers); stepmother Letitia [36]; half sisters Ethel [12], Winifred [9], Alice [6], Mabel [4], Madge [3], Elsie [2] and Doris [1 month]. All were born in Cockfield
The pension card has his stepmother at Winsor Green, Cockfield.

His brother Herbert died of wounds in December 1917 see here


He enlisted in King's Lynn.
Not having his service record it cannot be said where he was or when he was wounded, also the war diary for the Post Office Rifles for that month have not been found.
