1901 census...Aged 9 he was at 36 Church Walk, Bury St.Edmunds with his father George FORD [60] Army pensioner born Ripe, Sussex; his mother Frances Mary [44] born Little Saxham; brothers Percy [18] (labourer) born Bury St.Edmunds, Arthur [13] born Little Saxham, Herbert [5] and Sidney [9] both born Bury St.Edmunds. Brother George was at Alverstoke in the Rifle Brigade 1911 census...Aged 19, a labourer, he was Lambert Place, Bury St.Edmunds were his parents; brothers Herbert, Charles and Arthur ( last 2 labourers). Brother George was likely in India in the Rifle Brigade. His mother had lost one of her 7 children (Percy had died in 1909).
